I can't wait for my Sew Surprised box to arrive! My mom just bought me a purple sewing machine and she said my Sew Surprised box will have all the stuff I need to start sewing with it!
Thanks for helping me solve my Christmas gift dilemma! Both of my grandchildren will be getting Sew Surprised yearly subscriptions from me this year.
My daughter has been asking me to teach her how to sew forever and I just don't know where to start. I barely know how to sew myself, and I sure don't know what she needs and where to find everything. Sew Surprised has taken care of everything and my daughter loves getting her box every month!
Your box will arrive once a month. Payments are processed on the first of every month and they will be mailed out by the 15th of the month.
It is so much more than just fabric! For every project, you might need special thread, pins, fabric, patterns or instructions, buttons, elastic, or even zippers (for more experienced sewists). No need to search every aisle of the big box fabric stores looking for that tiny single supply needed for your project. We have done all the hunting and pecking for you and put it in your box. Simply open the box, watch your video and get started on your project! Sometimes you will need to purchase a bog of stuffing, which would not fit into the box, but if so we will let you know ahead of time and give you links to online suppliers as well as local places that would carry it (usually WalMart even carries stuffing, so you can pick it up on your next grocery run if needed).
Every box has the supplies for a new project, so each one will be different from the one before it. Also, since the boxes build in skill level, no two people will necessarily get the same supplies in a given month. Your second box will contain a project that is simpler in nature than your 12th box. As your skills build, ou will want more challenging projects to keep your interest level up. An example of an early box might be a pillowcase project. Included in your box would be the fabric needed, the pattern or instructions on what size to cut the pieces, some ric rac for trimming, a button for tacKing on, a spool of thread that matches the fabric, and a few other little knick knacks that are useful for sewing either this project or others that you might want to create on your own later.
